Côte d’Ivoire reporting portal
The Côte d’Ivoire reporting portal was launched in September in collaboration with the ARTCI (Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d'Ivoire – telecommunications regulator).
A few months later, telecoms provider MTN Côte d’Ivoire proposed working together on a nationwide marketing campaign to promote the portal and raise awareness of online protection for all.
MTN Group has been a Member of IWF since October 2019. They work with us to make their networks safer throughout Africa and prevent their customers from stumbling across child sexual abuse material. Our Development Officer Will Few explains more here.
The marketing campaign
The marketing campaign was launched in December with an event attended by UNICEF, the Information and Technologies Ministry (DITT), MTN CI, and IWF. The portal and its benefits were featured in national coverage reaching a wider audience in Côte d’Ivoire.
